Katie is a Lewis & Clark College alum with a B.A. in Communications and Art who participated in a study abroad program in Rajasthan, India. In addition to her studies she facilitated after-school empowerment programs for young women with Girls Inc. of NW Oregon. After graduation she taught English to high school students in Borneo, Indonesia on a Fulbright Grant. Currently she is interning at Vittana, a young nonprofit in Seattle that uses a peer-to-peer microfinance model for student loans in developing countries. She enjoys scuba diving, hiking, and napping.
