Cami Martin has been with Mercy Corps since April of 2007. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA in English and Education. During her time at the University she studied abroad in South East Asia which awakened her passion for international and development work. She can often be found running on the trails of Forest Park and is an avid reader, aspiring writer and looks forward to more travel experiences including a trip to Africa in the fall.

The Ministry of Fisheries has denied allegations by a group, called the Joint Action Against Pair Trawling (JAAPT) that foreign vessels have invaded Ghana's fishing industry and all vessels plying the coastal areas of the country are engaged in pair trawling activities. It says the allegations are simply untrue.
