Imagine a world of only 100 people. Applying today’s demographics, nearly half of those people would live on less than $2 per day.
This thought experiment comes from 100 People, a foundation dedicated to illuminating complex global issues though accessible statistics.
The organization is now working with schools to give faces to the numbers. Across the world, students are invited to nominate people in their communities who represent diversity. The foundation will select 100 to create a multimedia traveling exhibition--a peek into the lives of the world’s 7 billion people.
